حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى الْحِمَّانِيُّ ثنا شَرِيكٌ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ بْنِ رُفَيْعٍ عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ

أَنَّهُ قَالَ لِابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ؓ أَصَحِبْتَ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ مَا لَمْ أَصْحَبْهُ؟ أَنَا سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ يَقُولُ «الذَّهَبُ بِالذَّهَبِ مِثْلًا بِمِثْلٍ وَالْفِضَّةُ بِالْفِضَّةِ مِثْلًا بِمِثْلٍ» فَقَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ حَدَّثَنِي أُسَامَةُ «أَنَّ ذَلِكَ كَانَ نَسَأً»

✧ He said to Ibn Abbas ؓ: Did you accompany the Prophet ﷺ longer than I did? I heard the Prophet ﷺ say: “Gold for gold, equal for equal, and silver for silver, equal for equal.” Ibn Abbas said: Usama narrated to me that that was a deferred sale.
