حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ رِشْدِينَ الْمِصْرِيُّ ثنا زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ يَحْيَى كَاتَبُ الْعُمَرِيِّ حَدَّثَنَا مُفَضَّلُ بْنُ فَضَالَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ الطَّوِيلِ عَنْ نَافِعٍ أَنَّ ابْنَ عُمَرَ كَانَ يُكْرِي الْمَزَارِعَ وَأَنَّ رَافِعَ بْنَ خَدِيجٍ يَأْثُرُ

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ أَنَّهُ نَهَى عَنْ ذَلِكَ قَالَ نَافِعٌ فَخَرَجَ إِلَيْهِ عَبْدُ اللهِ عَلَى الْبَلَاطِ وَأَنَا مَعَهُ فَسَأَلَهُ فَقَالَ رَافِعٌ «نَعَمْ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنْ كَرْيِ الْمَزَارِعِ» فَتَرَكَ إِكْرَاءَهَا عَبْدُ اللهِ

✧ From the Messenger of Allah ﷺ that he forbade that. Nafi’ said: “So Abdullah went out to him at al-Balat and I was with him. He asked him, and Rafi’ said: ‘Yes, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade leasing farms.’ So Abdullah stopped leasing them.”
