حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْوَهَّابِ بْنِ نَجْدَةَ الْحَوْطِيُّ ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ الْوَهْبِيُّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ عَنْ أَبِي تَمِيمٍ الْجَيْشَانِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي أَيُّوبَ قَالَ

قَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «إِنَّ» هَذِهِ الصَّلَاةَ يَعْنِي الْعَصْرَ فُرِضَتْ عَلَى مَنْ كَانَ قَبْلَكُمْ فَضَيَّعُوهَا فَمَنْ حَافَظَ مِنْكُمُ الْيَوْمَ عَلَيْهَا أُعْطِيَ أَجْرَهَا مَرَّتَيْنِ وَلَا صَلَاةَ بَعْدَهَا حَتَّى يُرَى الشَّاهِدُ يَعْنِي النَّجْمَ

✧ The Prophet ﷺ said: "Indeed this prayer—meaning the 'Asr—was made obligatory upon those before you, but they neglected it. So whoever among you today guards it will be given its reward twice, and there is no prayer after it until the witness appears, meaning the star."
