حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ بْنُ غَنَّامٍ ثنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحِيمِ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ عَنْ وَاصِلِ بْنِ السَّائِبِ عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ أَبِي رَبَاحٍ وَعَنْ أَبِي سَوْرَةَ عَنْ عَمِّهِ أَبِي أَيُّوبَ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَنْ هَؤُلَاءِ الَّذِينَ قَالَ اللهُ ﷻ {رِجَالٌ يُحِبُّونَ أَنْ يَتَطَهَّرُوا وَاللهُ يُحِبُّ الْمُطَّهِّرِينَ} ؟ قَالَ «كَانُوا يَسْتَنْجُونَ بِالْمَاءِ وَكَانُوا لَا يَنَامُونَ اللَّيْلَ كُلَّهُ»

✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ said: “Who are those whom God ﷻ meant by ‘men who love to purify themselves, and God loves those who purify themselves’ (9:108)?” He said: “They used to cleanse themselves with water, and they would not sleep the whole night.”
