✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ came to Madinah and stayed with Abu Ayyub. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was lodged on the lower floor, and Abu Ayyub went up to the upper floor. When evening came and night fell, Abu Ayyub kept thinking that he was above the roof of the house of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ while the Prophet was below him, and that he was between him and the revelation. So Abu Ayyub could not sleep, fearing that dust might fall on him or that he might move and disturb him. When morning came, he went to the Prophet ﷺ and said, 'O Messenger of Allah, I did not sleep a wink last night, neither I nor Umm Ayyub.' He said, 'Why is that, O Abu Ayyub?' He said, 'I remembered that I am above the roof of a house while you are below me, and I move and dust falls on you and my movement disturbs you, and I am between you and the revelation.' He said, 'Do not do that, O Abu Ayyub. Shall I not teach you some words? If you say them in the morning ten times and in the evening ten times, you will be given ten good deeds for them, ten evil deeds will be wiped away from you, you will be raised ten degrees, and on the Day of Resurrection they will be for you like the reward of ten freed slaves. You say: There is no god but Allah, to Him belongs sovereignty and to Him belongs praise, and He has no partner.'"
