حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ ثنا هَارُونُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ ثنا وَكِيعٌ عَنْ يُونُسَ بْنِ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ أَبِي بُرْدَةَ

أَنَّ خَالِدَ بْنَ الْوَلِيدِ لَمَّا أَتَى الْحِيرَةَ قَالَ «ائْتُونِي بِالسُّمِّ» فَأُتِيَ بِهِ فَجَعَلَهُ فِي كَفِّهِ ثُمَّ قَالَ «بِسْمِ اللهِ فَاقْتَحَمَهُ فَلَمْ يَضُرَّهُ»

✧ When Khalid b. al-Walid came to al-Hirah, he said, "Bring me the poison." So it was brought to him, and he placed it in his palm and then said, "In the name of Allah," and swallowed it, and it did not harm him.
