حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي ثنا وَهْبُ بْنُ جَرِيرٍ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أَبِي يَعْقُوبَ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ لَمَّا نَعَى أَهْلَ مُؤْتَةَ قَالَ «ثُمَّ أَخَذَ الرَّايَةَ سَيْفٌ مِنْ سُيُوفِ اللهِ خَالِدُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ فَفَتَحَ اللهُ عَلَيْهِ»

✧ That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, when he announced the death of the people of Mu'tah, said: “Then a sword among the swords of Allah, Khalid b. al-Walid, took the banner, and Allah granted victory through him.”
