حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْمَعْمَرِيُّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ أَبِي رَجَاءٍ الْعَبَّادَانِيُّ ثنا أَبُو مَعْشَرٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عُمَارَةَ بْنِ خُزَيْمَةَ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ

كَانَ أَبِي كَافًّا سِلَاحَهُ يَوْمَ الْجَمَلِ وَصِفِّينَ فَلَمَّا قُتِلَ عَمَّارُ اسْتَلَّ سَيْفَهُ وَقَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «تَقْتُلُ عَمَّارًا الْفِئَةُ الْبَاغِيَةُ»

✧ My father withheld his weapon on the Day of the Camel and at Siffin. When 'Ammar was killed, he drew his sword and said: I heard the Messenger of God ﷺ say, 'The transgressing party will kill 'Ammar.'
