✧ Prohibition and Severeness Towards Insulting Muslims, Excluding and Fighting Them, and Others

حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الرَّازِيُّ ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ الرَّازِيُّ كَاتِبُ سَلَمَةَ ثنا سَلَمَةُ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ الْهَمْدَانِيِّ عَنْ مُصْعَبِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ عَنْ سَعْدٍ ؓ قَالَ

نَزَلَتْ فِيَّ ثَلَاثُ آيَاتٍ مِنْ كِتَابِ اللهِ ﷻ نَزَلَ تَحْرِيمُ الْخَمْرِ نَادَمْتُ رَجُلًا فَعَارَضْتُهُ وَعَارَضَنِي فَعَرْبَدْتُ عَلَيْهِ فَشَجَجْتُهُ فَأَنْزَلَ اللهُ تَعَالَى {يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا إِنَّمَا الْخَمْرُ وَالْمَيْسِرُ} إِلَى قَوْلِهِ {فَهَلِ أَنْتُمْ مُنْتَهُونَ} وَنَزَلَتْ فِيَّ {وَوَصَّيْنَا الْإِنْسَانَ بِوَالِدَيْهِ إِحْسَانًا حَمَلَتْهُ أُمُّهُ كُرْهًا} إِلَى آخِرِ الْآيَةِ وَنَزَلَتْ {يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا إِذَا نَاجَيْتُمُ الرَّسُولَ فَقَدِّمُوا بَيْنَ يَدَيْ نَجْوَاكُمْ صَدَقَةً} فَقَدَّمْتُ شَعِيرَةً فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «إِنَّكَ لَزَهِيدٌ» فَنَزَلَتِ الْأُخْرَى {أَأَشْفَقْتُمْ أَنْ تُقَدِّمُوا بَيْنَ يَدَيْ نَجْوَاكُمْ صَدَقَاتٍ} الْآيَةَ كُلَّهَا

✧ Three verses from the Book of God (Mighty and Sublime) were revealed concerning me. When the prohibition of wine was revealed, I had been drinking with a man; I opposed him and he opposed me, and I became rowdy with him and wounded him. Then God (Exalted is He) revealed, {O you who believe, wine and gambling...} up to His saying {So will you desist?} And there was revealed concerning me, {And We have enjoined upon man goodness to his parents. His mother carried him with hardship} to the end of the verse. And there was revealed, {O you who believe, when you consult the Messenger in private, give charity before your private consultation.} So I offered a barley grain, and the Messenger of God ﷺ said, "You are indeed frugal." Then the other was revealed, {Are you afraid to give charities before your private consultation?} the entire verse.
