حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبَانَ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَادَةَ الْبَاهِلِيُّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ الزُّهْرِيُّ ثنا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ عِمْرَانَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ أَبِي سُلَيْمَانَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي سُوَيْدٍ الثَّقَفِيُّ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عُثْمَانَ بْنَ أَبِي الْعَاصِ يَقُولُ أَخْبَرَتْنِي أُمِّي قَالَتْ

«شَهِدْتُ آمِنَةَ لَمَّا وَلَدَتْ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَلَمَّا ضَرَبَهَا الْمَخَاضُ نَظَرْتُ إِلَى النُّجُومِ تَدَلَّى حَتَّى إِنِّي لَأَقُولُ لَتَقَعَنَّ عَلَيَّ فَلَمَّا وَلَدَتْهُ خَرَجَ مِنْهَا نُورٌ أَضَاءَ لَهُ الْبَيْتُ الَّذِي نَحْنُ فِيهِ وَالدَّارُ فَمَا شَيْءٌ أَنْظُرُ إِلَيْهِ إِلَّا نُورٌ»

✧ I witnessed Aminah when she gave birth to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. When labor struck her, I looked at the stars descending until I said, "They will surely fall upon me." When she gave birth to him, a light came out from her that illuminated the house we were in and the dwelling. There was nothing I looked at except light.
