حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ثنا عَارِمٌ أَبُو النُّعْمَانِ ثنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَحْيَى بْنِ حَبَّانَ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَتْنِي أُمُّ حَرَامٍ

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ يَوْمًا فِي بَيْتِهَا فَاسْتَيْقَظَ وَهُوَ يَضْحَكُ فَقَالَتْ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ مَا يُضْحِكُكَ؟ قَالَ «عَجِبْتُ مِنْ قَوْمٍ مِنْ أُمَّتِي يَرْكَبُونَ الْبَحْرَ كَالْمُلُوكِ عَلَى الْأَسِرَّةِ» قَالَتْ فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ ادْعُ اللهَ أَنْ يَجْعَلَنِي مِنْهُمْ قَالَ «أَنْتِ مِنْهُمْ» ثُمَّ نَامَ فَاسْتَيْقَظَ وَهُوَ يَضْحَكُ فَقَالَ لِي مِثْلَ ذَلِكَ مَرَّتَيْنِ أَوْ ثَلَاثًا وَأَقُولُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ ادْعُ اللهَ أَنْ يَجْعَلَنِي مِنْهُمْ فَيَقُولُ «أَنْتِ مِنَ الْأَوَّلِينِ» قَالَ فَتَزَوَّجَهَا عُبَادَةُ بْنُ الصَّامِتِ فَخَرَجَ بِهَا إِلَى الْغَزْوِ قَالَ فَلَمَّا رَجَعَتْ قُرِّبَتْ لَهَا دَابَّةٌ لِتَرْكَبَهَا فَوَقَعَتْ فَانْدَقَّتْ عُنُقُهَا

✧ That the Prophet ﷺ said one day in her house, then he woke up and he was laughing. She said, “O Messenger of God, what makes you laugh?” He said, “I marveled at a people from my community who ride the sea like kings upon couches.” She said, “O Messenger of God, supplicate God to make me among them.” He said, “You are among them.” Then he slept and woke up laughing, and he said to me the like of that two or three times, and I said, “O Messenger of God, supplicate God to make me among them,” and he said, “You are among the first ones.” He said, “Then ʿUbāda b. al-Ṣāmit married her, and he took her out on a military expedition. When she returned, a mount was brought near for her to ride, and she fell and her neck broke.
