حَدَّثَنَا مُطَّلِبُ بْنُ شُعَيْبٍ الْأَزْدِيُّ ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ صَالِحٍ حَدَّثَنِي اللَّيْثُ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ عَنْ أُمِّ سُلَيْمٍ
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ زَارَهُمْ يَوْمًا فَدَعَا لِي حَتَّى مَا أُبَالِي أَنْ يَزِيدَ فَقُلْتُ لَهُ إِنَّ لِي مِنْ أَهْلِي مَنْ لَهُ عِنْدِي خَاصَّةٌ فَأَنَا أُحِبُّ أَنْ تَدْعُوَ لَهَا بِخَاصَّتِهِ عِنْدِي قَالَ «وَمَنْ هُوَ؟» قُلْتُ أَنَسٌ خَادِمُكَ بِأَبِي أَنْتَ وَأُمِّي قَالَ فَدَعَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ حَتَّى مَا أُبَالِي أَنْ لَا يَزِيدَ وَكَانَ فِيمَا دَعَا أَنْ قَالَ «وَاعْطِهِ مَالًا وَوَلَدًا» قَالَ أَنَسٌ فَمَا أَعْلَمُ أَحَدًا أَصَابَ مِنْ رَخَاءِ الْعَيْشِ اللِّينِ مِثْلَ مَا أَصَبْتُ وَلَقَدْ دَفَنْتُ بِيَدِي هَاتَيْنِ مِائَةً مِنْ وَلَدِي لَا أَقُولُ سَقْطًا وَلَا وَلَدَ وَلَدٍ

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ visited them one day and prayed for me until I did not care if he added to it. I said to him, "I have a family member who is especially dear to me, and I would love for you to pray specifically for him because of that special place he holds with me." He said, "Who is he?" I said, "Anas, your servant, may my father and mother be your ransom." So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ prayed until I did not care if he did not add to it. Among what he prayed was: "And grant him wealth and children." Anas said, "I do not know anyone who attained the ease and comfort of life like what I attained. Indeed, I have buried with these two hands of mine one hundred of my children—I do not say miscarriages nor grandchildren."
