حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أَيُّوبَ الْمُخَرِّمِيُّ ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ بْنِ أَبَانَ ثنا عِمْرَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ عَنْ حُصَيْنِ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَنَسُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ

أَنَّ أَبَا طَلْحَةَ وَكَانَ عَمَّهُ وَزَوْجَ أُمِّهِ أَتَى بِمُدَّيْنِ مِنْ شَعِيرٍ فَأَمَرَ بِهِمَا فَصُنِعَا ثُمَّ قَالَ لِيَ اذْهَبْ فَادْعُ لَنَا رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَدَعَوْتُهُ فَقَالَ لِلْقَوْمِ قُومُوا فأَقْبَلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ وَأَقْبَلْتُ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ حَتَّى دَخَلْتُ عَلَى أَبِي طَلْحَةَ فَقَالَ مَا فَعَلْتَ أَوْ مَا صَنَعْتَ؟ قُلْتُ قَدْ دَعَوْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ لِلْقَوْمِ قُومُوا فَقَالَ أَوَ مَا عَلِمْتَ مَا عِنْدَنَا؟ قُلْتُ بَلَى وَلَكِنْ لَمْ أَسْتَطِعْ أَنْ أَقُولَ لِرَسُولِ اللهِ شَيْئًا فَلَمَّا انْتَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِلَى الْبَابِ دَعَا عَشَرَةً عَشَرَةً فَتَكَلَّمَ بِمَا شَاءَ اللهُ فَقَالَ لِلْقَوْمِ اطْعَمُوا فَأَكَلُوا حَتَّى شَبِعُوا ثُمَّ خَرَجُوا وَدَعَا عَشَرَةً آخَرِينَ حَتَّى أَكَلَ مِنْهَا ثَمَانُونَ رَجُلًا وَفَضَلَ مَا شَبِعَ مِنْهُ أَهْلُ الْبَيْتِ

✧ Abu Talha, who was his paternal uncle and his mother's husband, brought two mudds of barley. He ordered them to be prepared. Then he said to me, 'Go and invite the Messenger of Allah ﷺ for us.' I invited him, and he said to the people, 'Arise.' The Messenger of Allah ﷺ came, and I walked ahead of him until I entered upon Abu Talha. He said, 'What have you done, or what did you make?' I said, 'I have invited the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and he said to the people, "Arise."' He said, 'Did you not know what we have?' I said, 'Yes, but I could not say anything to the Messenger of Allah.' When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ reached the door, he called ten at a time. He spoke as Allah willed, then said to the people, 'Eat.' They ate until they were full, then they left. He called another ten, until eighty men ate from it, and there remained enough for the household to eat their fill.
