حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى وَيُوسُفُ الْقَاضِي قَالَا ثنا مُسَدَّدٌ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مَكْتُومٍ قَالَا ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ دَاوُدَ عَنْ هَانِي بْنِ عُثْمَانَ عَنْ أُمِّهِ حُمَيْضَةَ عَنْ جَدَّتِهَا يَسِيرَةَ قَالَتْ

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَأْمُرُ النِّسَاءَ أَنْ يُرَاعِينَ التَّسْبِيحَ وَالتَّهْلِيلَ وَالتَّقْدِيسَ وَيَعْقِدْنَ بِالْأَنَامِلِ وَيَقُولُ إِنَّهُنَّ مَسْئُولَاتٌ وَمُسْتَنْطَقَاتٌ وَقَالَ ابْنُ دَاوُدَ بَلَغَنِي أَنَّ الثَّوْرِيَّ سَأَلَ هَانِي عَنْ هَذَا الْحَدِيثِ

✧ I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ commanding women to attend to glorification, declaring God's oneness, and sanctification, and to count them on their fingertips, saying, "They will be questioned and made to speak." Ibn Dawud said, "It has reached me that al-Thawri asked Hani about this hadith."
