حَدَّثَنَا بانوبةُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ الْأُبُلِّيُّ ثنا عُمَرُ بْنُ يَحْيَى الْأَيْلِيُّ ثنا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْكَرِيمِ الضَّالُّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سِيرِينَ عَنْ أُخْتِهِ عَنْ أُمِّ عَطِيَّةَ قَالَتْ

«نَهَانَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنْ لُبْسِ الذَّهَبِ وَتَفْضِيضِ الْأَقْدَاحِ فَكَلَّمَهُ النِّسَاءُ فِي لُبْسِ الذَّهَبِ فَأَبَى عَلَيْنَا وَرَخَّصَ لَنَا فِي تَفْضِيضِ الْأَقْدَاحِ»

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade us from wearing gold and from silver-plating vessels. The women spoke to him about wearing gold, but he refused us, and he permitted us to silver-plate vessels.
