حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ خَلَّادٍ الْقَطَّانُ النَّصْرِيُّ ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عَمْرِو بْنِ جَبَلَةَ حَدَّثَتْنَا أُمُّ عِيسَى بِنْتُ هَاشِمٍ قَالَتْ سَمِعْتُ حَفْصَةَ بِنْتَ سِيرِينَ قَالَتْ

لَنَا أُمُّ عَطِيَّةَ أَمَرَنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَنْ لَا نَمْنَعَ الْمَاعُونَ قُلْتُ وَمَا الْمَاعُونُ؟ قَالَتْ مَا يَتَعَاطَاهُ النَّاسُ بَيْنَهُمْ

✧ Umm ʿAṭiyyah told us: “The Messenger of Allah ﷺ commanded us not to withhold the māʿūn.” I said: “What is the māʿūn?” She said: “What people lend to one another.”
