حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدِ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْفَرَجِ ثنا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ بْنُ عَطَاءٍ الْخَفَّافُ ثنا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ جُرَيْجٍ عَنْ عَطَاءٍ عَنْ أَسْمَاءَ بِنْتِ عُمَيْسٍ

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ لِنُعْمَى بِنْتِ جَعْفَرٍ مَا لِي أَرَى أَجْسَامَ بَنِي جَعْفَرٍ أَنْضَاءَ أَبِهِمْ حَاجَةٌ؟ قَالَتْ لَا وَلَكِنَّهُمْ تُسْرِعُ إِلَيْهِمُ الْعَيْنُ أَفَأَرْقِيهِمْ؟ قَالَ نَعَمْ فَعَرَضَتْ عَلَيْهِ كَلَامًا لَا بَأْسَ بِهِ فَقَالَ ارْقِيهِمْ

✧ that the Prophet ﷺ said to Nuʿma bt. Jaʿfar, "Why do I see the bodies of the sons of Jaʿfar emaciated? Do they have a need?" She said, "No, but the evil eye is quick to affect them. Should I perform ruqyah on them?" He said, "Yes." She presented some words to him that were acceptable, and he said, "Perform ruqyah on them with it."
