حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ النَّضْرِ الْعَسْكَرِيُّ ثنا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ زُرَيْقٍ الرَّاسِبِيُّ ثنا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الطَّرَائِفِيُّ ثنا عَبْدُ الْحَمِيدِ بْنُ يَزِيدَ عَنْ آمِنَةَ بِنْتِ عُمَرَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ عَنْ مَيْمُونَةَ بِنْتِ سَعْدٍ

أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أَفْتِنَا عَنِ الصَّوْمِ فَقَالَ «مِنْ كُلِّ شَهْرٍ ثَلَاثَةُ أَيَّامٍ مَنِ اسْتَطَاعَ أَنْ يَصُومَهُنَّ فَإِنَّ كُلَّ يَوْمٍ يُكَفِّرُ عَشْرَ سَيِّئَاتٍ وَإِنَّهُ يُنَقِّي مِنَ الْإِثْمِ كَمَا يُنَقِّي الْمَاءُ الثَّوْبَ»

Translation

Chain of narrators

✧ She said, "O Messenger of Allah, give us a ruling about fasting." He said, "Three days from every month. Whoever is able to fast them, then indeed each day expiates ten bad deeds, and it cleanses from sin as water cleanses a garment."
