حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ثنا عَارِمٌ أَبُو النُّعْمَانِ ثنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ كَعْبِ بْنِ عُجْرَةَ عَنْ عَمَّتِهِ زَيْنَبَ بِنْتِ كَعْبِ بْنِ عُجْرَةَ عَنْ فُرَيْعَةَ بِنْتِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ حَمَّادٌ وَقَدْ سَمِعْتُهُ مِنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ

أَنَّ زَوْجَهَا خَرَجَ فِي طَلَبِ غُلَامٍ لَهُ فَقُتِلَ بِطَرَفِ الْقُدُومِ فَأَتَتِ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَاسْتَأْذَنَتْهُ أَنْ تَنْتَقِلَ إِلَى أَهْلِهَا فَأَذِنَ لَهَا فَلَمَّا أَدْبَرَتْ نَادَاهَا فَقَالَ «امْكُثِي فِي بَيْتِكِ حَتَّى يَبْلُغَ الْكِتَابُ أَجَلَهُ»

✧ that her husband went out in pursuit of a servant boy of his and was killed at the edge of al-Qudūm. She came to the Prophet ﷺ and asked his permission to move to her family. He gave her permission, but when she turned away, he called her and said: “Stay in your house until the prescribed period reaches its term.”
