✧ Abu Murrah, the servant of Aqeel, from Umm Hane'ah

حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ ثنا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ثنا جَرِيرٌ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي زِيَادٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ قَالَ

أَدْرَكْتُ أَصْحَابَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَسَأَلْتُهُمْ عَنْ صَلَاةِ الضُّحَى فَلَمْ أَجِدْ أَحَدًا يُحَدِّثُنِي عَنْهَا حَتَّى أَتَيْتُ أُمَّ هَانِئٍ بِنْتَ أَبِي طَالِبٍ فَسَأَلْتُهَا فَقَالَتْ «أَتَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ بَيْتَ فَاطِمَةَ بِمَكَّةَ يَوْمَ جُمُعَةٍ فَدَعَا بِغَرْفَةٍ مِنْ مَاءٍ فَصَبَّهَا ثُمَّ اغْتَسَلَ وَسَتَرَتْهُ فَاطِمَةُ فَصَلَّى ثَمَانِ رَكَعَاتٍ لَمْ يُصَلِّ قَبْلَهَا وَلَا بَعْدَهَا»

✧ I met the Companions of the Prophet ﷺ and asked them about the forenoon prayer, but I did not find anyone to tell me about it until I came to Umm Hani' bt. Abi Talib and asked her. She said: "The Messenger of God ﷺ came to Fatimah's house in Makkah on a Friday. He called for a scoop of water, poured it, then performed ghusl while Fatimah screened him. Then he prayed eight rak'ahs, not praying before them nor after them."
