حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ بْنُ غَنَّامٍ ثنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنِ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُسْهِرٍ عَنْ دَاوُدَ بْنِ أَبِي هِنْدٍ عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ وَعَمْرِو بْنِ عُتْبَةَ أَنَّهُمَا كَتَبَا إِلَى سُبَيْعَةَ بِنْتِ الْحَارِثِ الْأَسْلَمِيَّةِ يَسْأَلَانِهَا عَنْ أَمْرِهَا فَكَتَبَتْ إِلَيْهِمَا أَنَّهَا وَضَعَتْ بَعْدَ وَفَاةِ زَوْجِهَا بِخَمْسٍ وَعِشْرِينَ فَهُيِّأَتْ لِطَلَبِ الْخَيْرِ فَمَرَّ بِهَا أَبو السَّنَابِلِ بْنُ بَعْكَكٍ فَقَالَ

قَدْ أَسْرَعْتِ اعْتَدِّي آخِرَ الْأَجَلَيْنِ أَرْبَعَةَ أَشْهُرٍ وَعَشْرًا فَأَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ اسْتَغْفِرْ لِي فَقَالَ «وَمَا ذَاكَ؟» فَأَخْبَرْتُهُ الْخَبَرَ فَقَالَ «إِنْ وَجَدْتِ زَوْجًا صَالِحًا فَتَزَوَّجِي»

✧ You have rushed. Observe the waiting period of the longer of the two terms: four months and ten days. So I came to the Prophet ﷺ and said: O Messenger of Allah, seek forgiveness for me. He said: "And why is that?" I informed him of the matter. He said: "If you find a righteous husband, then marry."
