حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ثنا الْهَيْثَمُ بْنُ خَارِجَةَ ثنا عَطَّافُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ الْمَخْزُومِيُّ عَنْ أُمِّهِ عَنْ زَيْنَبَ بِنْتِ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ قَالَتْ

كَانَتْ أُمِّي إِذَا دَخَلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَغْتَسِلُ يَقُولُ «اذْهَبِي فَادْخُلِي» قَالَتْ فَدَخَلْتُ فَنَضَحَ فِي وَجْهِيَ الْمَاءَ ثُمَّ قَالَ «ارْجِعِي» قَالَ الْعَطَّافُ قَالَتْ أُمِّي «فَرَأَيْتُ وَجْهَ زَيْنَبَ وَهِيَ عَجُوزٌ كَبِيرَةٌ مَا نَقَصَ مِنْ وَجْهِهَا شَيْءٌ»

✧ My mother said: When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ entered, he would wash, saying: “Go and enter.” She said: So I entered, and he sprinkled water on my face, then said: “Return.” Al-‘Attaf said: My mother said: “I saw the face of Zaynab when she was a very old woman, and nothing of her face had diminished.”
