حَدَّثَنَا يُوسُفُ الْقَاضِي ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ كَثِيرٍ ثنا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ كَثِيرٍ عَنْ حُصَيْنٍ عَنْ أَبِي عُبَيْدَةَ بْنِ حُذَيْفَةَ عَنْ عَمَّتِهِ
أَنَّهَا دَخَلَتْ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَأَمَرَ بِسِقَاءٍ فَعُلِّقَ عَلَى شَجَرَةٍ ثُمَّ اضْطَجَعَ تَحْتَهُ فَجَعَلَ يَقْطُرُ عَلَى فُؤَادِهِ فَقُلْتُ ادْعُ اللهَ فَيَكْشِفُ عَنْكَ قَالَ «إِنَّ أَشَدَّ النَّاسِ بَلَاءً الْأَنْبِيَاءُ ثُمَّ الَّذِينَ يَلُونَهُمْ»

✧ She entered upon the Messenger of God ﷺ, and he ordered a waterskin, which was suspended on a tree. Then he lay down beneath it, and it began dripping onto his heart. I said: “Call upon God, and He will remove it from you.” He said: “Indeed, the people most severely tried are the prophets, then those next to them.”
