حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الدَّبَرِيُّ أَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ أَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ أَخْبَرَنِي يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ أَنَّ عَمْرَةَ بِنْتَ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ حَدَّثَتْهُ أَنَّ حَبِيبَةَ بِنْتَ سَهْلٍ حُدِّثَتْ

أَنَّ ثَابِتَ بْنَ قَيْسِ بْنِ شَمَّاسٍ بَلَغَ مِنْهَا ضَرْبًا لَا يَدْرِي مَا هُوَ فَجَاءَتِ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فِي الْغَلَسِ فَذَكَرَتْ لَهُ الَّذِي بِهَا فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «خُذْ مِنْهَا» فَقَالَتْ أَمَا أَنَّ الَّذِي أَعْطَانِي عِنْدِي كَمَا هُوَ قَالَ «فَخُذْ مِنْهَا» فَأَخَذَ مِنْهَا قَالَتْ عَمْرَةُ فَقَعَدَتْ عِنْدَ أَهْلِهَا

✧ Thabit b. Qays b. Shammas struck her a blow whose severity she did not know. She came to the Prophet ﷺ in the darkness before dawn and mentioned to him what had happened to her. The Prophet ﷺ said: “Take back from her [what you gave].” She said: “Indeed what he gave me is with me just as it was.” He said: “Then take back from her.” So he took back from her, and she stayed with her family.
