حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ التُّسْتَرِيُّ ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ الْقَطَّانُ ثنا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عُمَرَ ثنا هِشَامُ بْنُ حَسَّانَ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ كُنْتُ عِنْدَ مَرْوَانَ بْنِ الْحَكَمِ فَسُئِلْتُ

عَنْ مَسِّ الذَّكَرِ فَلَمْ أَرَ عَلَيْهِ إِعَادَةَ الْوُضُوءِ فَدَعَا مَرْوَانُ بَعْضَ شُرْطَتِهِ فَأَرْسَلَهُ إِلَى بُسْرَةَ بِنْتِ صَفْوَانَ فَسَأَلَهَا عَنْ ذَلِكَ فَأَخْبَرْتُهُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «إِذَا مَسَّ أَحَدُكُمْ ذَكَرَهُ فَلْيُعِدِ الْوُضُوءَ»

✧ …about touching the penis, and I did not see any obligation on him to repeat the ablution. So Marwan summoned one of his guards and sent him to Busrah bint Safwan. He asked her about that, and she informed him that the Messenger of God ﷺ said: “If one of you touches his penis, let him repeat the ablution.”
