حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو زُرْعَةَ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الدِّمَشْقِيُّ ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ الْوَهْبِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ فَاطِمَةَ بِنْتِ الْمُنْذِرِ عَنْ جَدَّتِهَا أَسْمَاءَ بِنْتِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ قَالَتْ

سَمِعْتُ امْرَأَةً تَسْأَلُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَتْ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنِّي زَوَّجَتُ ابْنَتِي فَأَصَابَتْهَا هَذِهِ الْقُرْحَةُ الْجُدَرِيُّ أَوِ الْحَصْبَةُ فَسَقَطَ شَعْرُهَا وَقَدْ صَحَّتْ وَاسْتَحَثَّنَا بِهَا زَوْجُهَا وَلَيْسَ عَلَى رَأْسِهَا شَعْرٌ فَنَجْعَلُ عَلَى رَأْسِهَا شَيْئًا نُجَمِّلُهَا بِهِ؟ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «لَعَنَ اللهُ الْوَاصِلَةَ وَالْمُسْتَوْصِلَةَ»

✧ I heard a woman asking the Messenger of God ﷺ. She said: “O Messenger of God, I married off my daughter, and she was afflicted by this sore—smallpox or measles—and her hair fell out. She has now recovered, and her husband is urging us regarding her, but there is no hair on her head. Shall we put something on her head to beautify her with it?” The Prophet ﷺ said: “God has cursed the woman who attaches hair extensions and the one who asks for it.”
