حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الْخَلَّالُ ثنا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ ثنا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ عُقْبَةَ عَنْ كُرَيْبٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ
عَنْ مَيْمُونَةَ أَنَّهُمْ تَمَارَوْا فِي صِيَامِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ يَوْمَ عَرَفَةَ فَقَالَتْ مَيْمُونَةُ سَأَبْعَثُ لَكُمْ إِلَيْهِ بِتَمَرَاتٍ إِنْ كَانَ مُفْطِرًا لَمْ يَدَعْهُ «فَبَعَثَتْ إِلَيْهِ بِقَدَحِ لَبَنٍ فَشَرِبَهُ وَالنَّاسُ يَنْظُرُونَ»

✧ On the authority of Maymunah: They disputed about the Prophet ﷺ's fasting on the Day of Arafah. Maymunah said: 'I shall send him some dates for you. If he is not fasting, he will not leave them.' So she sent him a bowl of milk, and he drank it while the people were watching.
