حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْجُذُوعِيُّ وَعَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ قَالَا ثنا عُقْبَةُ بْنُ مُكْرَمٍ الْعَمِّيُّ ثنا الْمُبَارَكُ أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ قَالَ ثنا الْقَاسِمُ بْنُ الْمُطَيَّبِ
أَنَّ أَبَا الْمَلِيحِ الْهُذَلِيَّ خَرَجَ فِي جِنَازَةٍ فَلَمَّا وُضِعَ عَلَى السَّرِيرِ أَقْبَلَ عَلَى الْقَوْمِ فَقَالَ سَوُّوا صُفُوفَكُمْ وَأَحْسِنُوا شَفَاعَتَكُمْ ثُمَّ قَالَ أَبُو الْمَلِيحِ حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ سَلِيطٍ وَكَانَ أَخُو مَيْمُونَةَ أُمِّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ عَنْ مَيْمُونَةَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «مَنْ صَلَّى عَلَيْهِ أُمَّةٌ شُفِّعُوا فِي أَخِيهِمْ» وَالْأُمَّةُ أَرْبَعُونَ إِلَى مِائَةٍ وَالْعُصْبَةُ عَشَرَةٌ إِلَى أَرْبَعِينَ وَالنَّفَرُ ثَلَاثَةٌ إِلَى عَشَرَةٍ

✧ Abu Al-Malih Al-Hudhali went out in a funeral. When the deceased was placed on the bed, he approached the people and said, "Straighten your rows and improve your intercession." Then Abu Al-Malih said, "Abdullah bin Salit informed me, and he was the brother of Maymunah, the mother of the believers, from Maymunah, from the Prophet ﷺ, who said, 'Whoever prays upon him, a nation will intercede for their brother.' And the nation is forty to one hundred, the group is ten to forty, and the individual is three to ten."
