حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى ثنا مُسَدَّدٌ ثنا حُصَيْنُ بْنُ نُمَيْرٍ ثنا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ حُسَيْنٍ حَدَّثَنِي الزُّهْرِيُّ عَنْ مَوْلَاةٍ لِمَيْمُونَةَ بِنْتِ الْحَارِثِ قَالَتْ أَرْسَلَتْنِي مَيْمُونَةُ إِلَى ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ فَرَأَيْتُ فِرَاشَهُ مُعْتَزِلًا
عَنْ فِرَاشِ امْرَأَتَهِ وَعِنْدَهُ يَوْمَئِذٍ بِنْتُ مِشْرَحٍ فَقَالَتْ مَا بَالُكَ؟ قَالَتْ هَكَذَا يَصْنَعُ بِي إِذَا حِضْتُ قَالَتْ فَأَتَيْتُ مَيْمُونَةَ فَأَخْبَرْتُهَا قَالَ وَقَالَتْ فَأَرْسَلَتْنِي إِلَيْهِ مَا الَّذِي تَصْنَعُ؟ لَقَدْ «كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يُبَاشِرُ إِحْدَانَا وَهِيَ حَائِضٌ وَمَا عَلَيْهَا إِلَّا إِزَارُهَا يَبْلُغُ نِصْفَ فَخْذِهَا»

✧ Regarding the bed of his wife, while the daughter of Mishrah was with him that day, she said: "What is the matter with you?" She said: "This is how he treats me when I menstruate." She said: "So I went to Maymunah and informed her." He said: "And she said: 'She sent me to him saying: What is it that you do? Indeed, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to be intimate with one of us while she was menstruating, and she had nothing on except her waist-wrapper, reaching to the middle of her thigh.'"
