حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ عِيسَى بْنِ الْمُنْذِرِ الْحِمْصِيُّ ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ الْوَهْبِيُّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ بُكَيْرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الْأَشَجِّ عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ يَسَارٍ عَنْ مَيْمُونَةَ قَالَتْ
أَعْتَقْتُ جَارِيَةً لِي فَدَخَلَ عَلَيَّ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَأَخْبَرْتُهُ بِعِتْقِهَا فَقَالَ «آجَرَكِ اللهُ أَمَا أَنَّكِ لَوْ كُنْتِ أَعْطَيْتِهَا أَخْوَالَكِ كَانَ أَعْظَمَ لِأَجْرِكِ»

✧ I freed a slave girl of mine, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ entered upon me and I told him of her manumission. He said: “May Allah reward you. But if you had given her to your maternal uncles, it would have been greater in reward for you.”
