✧ The Sermon of Aisha

حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ ثنا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ثنا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْجُعْفِيُّ عَنْ زَائِدَةَ عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ أَبِي النَّجُودِ عَنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ بْنِ رَافِعٍ عَنْ حَفْصَةَ قَالَتْ

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «إِذَا أَخَذَ مَضْجَعَهُ جَعَلَ يَدَهُ الْيُمْنَى تَحْتَ خَدِّهِ الْأَيْمَنِ وَكَانَتْ يَمِينُهُ لِطَعَامِهِ وَشَرَابِهِ وَطُهُورِهِ وَمَائِهِ وَكَانَتْ شِمَالُهُ لِمَا سِوَى ذَلِكَ»

Translation

✧ When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ lay down, he placed his right hand under his right cheek. His right hand was for his food, drink, purification, and water, and his left hand for anything else.
