✧ The Sermon of Aisha

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو يَزِيدَ الْقَرَاطِيسِيُّ ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مَعْبَدٍ الرَّقِّيُّ ثنا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عَمْرٍو عَنْ عَبْدِ الْكَرِيمِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ عَنْ حَفْصَةَ

«أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ إِذَا أَذَّنَ الْمُؤَذِّنُ بِالْفَجْرِ قَامَ فَصَلَّى رَكْعَتَيِ الْفَجْرِ ثُمَّ خَرَجَ إِلَى الْمَسْجِدِ وَيُحَرِّمُ الطَّعَامَ وَكَانَ لَا يُؤَذَّنُ حَتَّى يُصْبِحَ»

✧ When the muezzin gave the call for the dawn prayer, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ would stand and pray the two rak'ahs of dawn, then go out to the mosque while food was forbidden. And he would not have the call given until daybreak appeared.
