حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ الصَّنْعَانِيُّ ثنا زَيْدُ بْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ ثَوْرٍ عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ

عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ فِي قَوْلِهِ {أُولَئِكَ مُبَرَّءُونَ مِمَّا يَقُولُونَ} «وَذَلِكَ أَنَّهُ مَا قَالَ الْكَافِرُ مِنْ كَلِمَةٍ طَيِّبَةٍ فَهِيَ لِلْمُؤْمِنِ وَمَا قَالَ الْمُؤْمِنُ مِنْ كَلِمَةٍ خَبِيثَةٍ فَهِيَ لِلْكَافِرِ يَرَى كُلٌّ مِمَّا لَيْسَ لَهُ بِحَقٍّ مِنَ الْكَلَامِ»

✧ From Mujahid regarding His saying {Those are declared innocent of what they say}: “That is because whatever good word a disbeliever says belongs to the believer, and whatever evil word a believer says belongs to the disbeliever. Each sees speech that is not rightfully his.”
