حَدَّثَنَا بَكْرُ بْنُ سَهْلٍ ثنا عَبْدُ الْغَنِيِّ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الثَّقَفِيُّ ثنا مُوسَى بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الصَّنْعَانِيُّ عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ عَنْ عَطَاءٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ وَعَنْ مُقَاتِلِ بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ عَنِ الضَّحَّاكِ

عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ {وَيُبَيِّنُ اللهُ لَكُمُ الْآيَاتِ} «يُرِيدُ الْآيَاتِ الَّتِي أَنْزَلَهَا فِي عَائِشَةَ وَالْبَرَاءَةَ لَهَا» {وَاللهُ عَلِيمٌ حَكِيمٌ} «عَلِيمٌ بِمَا فِي قُلُوبِكُمْ مِنَ النَّدَامَةِ فِيمَا خُضْتُمْ فِيهِ حَكِيمٌ حَيْثُ حَكَمَ فِي الْقَذْفِ ثَمَانِينَ جَلْدَةً»

Translation

✧ From Ibn 'Abbas: {And Allah makes clear to you the verses} "He means the verses that He sent down regarding 'A'ishah and the declaration of her innocence." {And Allah is Knowing, Wise} "Knowing of what is in your hearts of regret for what you indulged in; Wise in that He decreed eighty lashes for the slander."
