حَدَّثَنَا بَكْرُ بْنُ سَهْلٍ ثنا عَبْدُ الْغَنِيِّ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الثَّقَفِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الصَّنْعَانِيُّ عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ عَنْ عَطَاءٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ وَعَنْ مُقَاتِلِ بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ عَنِ الضَّحَّاكِ

عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ {وَالَّذِي تَوَلَّى كِبْرَهُ} «يُرِيدُ إِشَاعَتَهُ وَإِذَاعَتَهُ» {مِنْهُمْ} «يُرِيدُ عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ أُبَيِّ بْنِ سَلُولٍ» {لَهُ عَذَابٌ عَظِيمٌ} «يُرِيدُ فِي الدُّنْيَا الْجَلْدُ جَلَدَهُ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ ثَمَانِينَ وَفِي الْآخِرَةِ مَصِيرُهُ إِلَى النَّارِ»

Translation

✧ From Ibn 'Abbas: {And the one who undertook the greater part of it} "He means its spreading and broadcasting." {Among them} "He means 'Abd Allah b. Ubayy b. Salul." {For him is a great punishment} "He means in this world the flogging—the Messenger of Allah ﷺ flogged him eighty lashes—and in the Hereafter his destination is to the Fire."
