حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الدَّبَرِيُّ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّزَّاقِ عَنْ مَالِكٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْقَاسِمِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ

خَرَجْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فِي بَعْضِ أَسْفَارِهِ حَتَّى إِذَا كُنَّا بِالْبَيْدَاءِ أَوْ بِذَاتِ الْجَيْشِ انْقَطَعَ عِقْدِي فَأَقَامَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ عَلَى الْتِمَاسِهِ وَأَقَامَ النَّاسُ مَعَهُ وَلَيْسَ مَعَهُمْ مَاءٌ فَأَتَى النَّاسُ إِلَى أَبِي بَكْرٍ فَقَالُوا مَا نَرَى مَا صَنَعَتْ عَائِشَةُ أَقَامَتْ بِالنَّبِيِّ ﷺ وَبِالنَّاسِ وَلَيْسَ مَعَهُمْ مَاءٌ فَعَاتَبَنِي وَقَالَ لِي مَا شَاءَ اللهُ أَنْ يَقُولَ وَجَعَلَ يَطْعَنُ بِيَدِهِ فِي خَاصِرَتِي فَلَا يَمْنَعُنِي مِنَ التَّحَرُّكِ إِلَّا مَكَانُ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ عَلَى فَخِذِي فَنَامَ حَتَّى أَصْبَحَ عَلَى غَيْرِ وُضُوءٍ فَأَنْزَلَ اللهُ آيَةَ التَّيَمُّمِ فَقَالَ أُسَيْدُ بْنُ حُضَيْرٍ مَا هِيَ بِأَوَّلِ بَرَكَتِكُمْ يَا آلَ أَبِي بَكْرٍ فَبَعَثْنَا الْبَعِيرَ الَّذِي كُنْتُ عَلَيْهِ فَوَجَدْنَا الْعِقْدَ تَحْتَهُ

✧ We went out with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on one of his journeys until we were at al-Bayda’ or Dhat al-Jaysh, and my necklace broke. The Prophet ﷺ stayed to search for it, and the people stayed with him, but they had no water with them. The people came to Abu Bakr and said, “Do you see what Aisha has done? She has detained the Prophet ﷺ and the people, and they have no water with them.” So he admonished me and said to me whatever Allah willed him to say, and he began poking me in my side with his hand. Nothing prevented me from moving except that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was resting on my thigh. He slept until morning without wudu’, and Allah sent down the verse of tayammum. Usayd b. Hudayr said, “This is not the first of your blessings, O family of Abu Bakr.” Then we made the camel I had been riding stand up, and we found the necklace beneath it.
