حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُسْلِمٍ الْكَشِّيُّ ثنا سَهْلُ بْنُ بَكَّارٍ ثنا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ

أُعْطِيتُ خِصَالًا مَا أُعْطِيَتْهَا امْرَأَةٌ مَلَكَنِي وَأَنَا بِنْتُ سِتِّ سِنِينَ وَأَتَاهُ الْمَلَكُ بِصُورَتِي فِي كَفِّهِ فَنَظَرَ إِلَيْهَا وَبَنَى بِي وَأَنَا بِنْتُ تِسْعِ سِنِينَ وَرَأَيْتُ جِبْرِيلَ وَلَمْ تَرَهُ امْرَأَةٌ غَيْرِي وَكُنْتُ أَحَبَّ نِسَائِهِ إِلَيْهِ وَكَانَ أَبِي أَحَبَّ أَصْحَابِهِ إِلَيْهِ وَمَرِضَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَرْضَتَهُ وَلَمْ تَشْهَدْهُ غَيْرِي وَالْمَلَائِكَةُ

✧ I was given qualities no other woman was given: he married me when I was six years old, and the angel brought him my image in his palm, so he looked at it. He consummated the marriage with me when I was nine years old. I saw Jibril, and no woman besides me saw him. I was the most beloved of his wives to him, and my father was the most beloved of his companions to him. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ fell ill with his final illness, and no one attended him but me and the angels.
