حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَيُّوبَ الْعَلَّافُ وَأَبُو يَزِيدَ الْقَرَاطِيسِيُّ قَالَا ثنا سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ
«تَزَوَّجَنِي رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ وَأَنَا بِنْتُ سَبْعٍ وَأُدْخِلْتُ عَلَيْهِ وَأَنَا بِنْتُ تِسْعِ سِنِينَ فَدَخَلَ عَلَيَّ وَأَنَا أَلْعَبُ بِاللُّعَبِ وَكَانَ لِي صَوَاحِبُ يَلْعَبْنَ مَعِي فَرُبَّمَا اسْتَحْيَيْنَ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ يُسَرِّبُهُنَّ إِلَيَّ»

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ married me when I was seven, and I was taken to him when I was nine years old. He came in to me while I was playing with dolls, and I had girlfriends who played with me. Sometimes they felt shy of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and he would send them to me.
