✧ The Marriage of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ to Khadijah, Her Age, Her Death, and Some of Her Stories

حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّزَّاقِ عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ أَنَّ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ

لِلنَّبِيِّ ﷺ كُلُّ نِسَائِكَ لَهَا كُنْيَةٌ غَيْرِي فَقَالَ لَهَا النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «اكْتَنِي أُمَّ عَبْدِ اللهِ» فَكَانَ يُقَالُ لَهَا أُمُّ عَبْدِ اللهِ حَتَّى مَاتَتْ وَلَمْ تَلِدْ قَطُّ

✧ To the Prophet ﷺ: All your wives have a kunyah except me. The Prophet ﷺ said to her, 'Take the kunyah Umm 'Abd Allah.' So she was called Umm 'Abd Allah until she died, though she never gave birth.
