حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ثنا الزُّبَيْرُ بْنُ بَكَّارٍ حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ الْجَبَّارِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ أَبِي سَبْرَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْحَمِيدِ بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ عَنْ سَعِيدٍ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ سُلَيْمٍ عَنْ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ قَالَ
«بَيْنَا نَحْنُ جُلُوسٌ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ نَنْتَظِرُ الصَّلَاةَ خَرَجَ عَلَيْنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ وَعَلَى عَاتِقِهِ أُمَامَةُ بِنْتُ أَبِي الْعَاصِ بْنِ الرَّبِيعِ وَأُمُّهَا زَيْنَبُ بِنْتُ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَإِذَا رَكَعَ وَضَعَهَا بِالْأَرْضِ وَإِذَا قَامَ أَعَادَهَا عَلَى عَاتِقِهِ حَتَّى قَضَى صَلَاتَهُ وَهُوَ يَفْعَلُ بِهَا ذَلِكَ»

✧ "While we were sitting in the mosque waiting for the prayer, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ came out to us with Umamah bint Abi al-‘As b. al-Rabi‘ on his shoulder—her mother was Zaynab bint the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. When he bowed he placed her on the ground, and when he stood he returned her to his shoulder until he finished his prayer, doing that with her."
