حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى ثَعْلَبُ النَّحْوِيُّ ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ شَبِيبٍ ثنا أَيُّوبَ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ بِلَالٍ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنِ أَبِي أُوَيْسٍ عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ بِلَالٍ عَنْ صَالِحِ بْنِ كَيْسَانَ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ أَنَسِ

أَنَّ زَيْنَبَ هَاجَرَتْ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ وَزَوْجُهَا كَافِرٌ فَأَسَرَ الْمُسْلِمُونَ أَبَا الْعَاصِ بْنَ الرَّبِيعِ فَقَالَتْ زَيْنَبُ إِنِّي قَدْ أَجَرْتُ أَبَا الْعَاصِ فَأَجَازَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ جِوَارَهَا وَقَالَ «إِنَّهُ يُجِيرُ عَلَى الْمُسْلِمِينَ أَدْنَاهُمْ»

✧ Zaynab emigrated to the Messenger of God ﷺ while her husband was a disbeliever. Then the Muslims captured Abu al-As b. al-Rabi, and Zaynab said, “I have granted protection to Abu al-As.” The Prophet ﷺ upheld her protection and said, “The lowest of the Muslims may grant protection.”
