حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ بْنِ مِقْلَاصٍ ثنا أَبِي ثنا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ صُهْبَانَ عَنْ زَامِلِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ خَرَجَ يَوْمَ الْفِطْرِ إِلَى الْعِيدِ وَعَنْ يَمِينِهِ أُبَيُّ بْنُ كَعْبٍ وَعَنْ يَسَارِهِ عُمَرُ أَوْ قَالَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ فَلَمَّا فَرَغَ مَرَّ عَلَى بَابِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ أَوْ أَبِي كَبِيرٍ وَاللَّحَّامُونَ بِفِنَائِهَا وَالنَّاسُ حَدِيثُو عَهْدٍ بِجَاهِلِيَّةٍ فَقَالَ لَهُمْ «كَيْفَ تَبِيعُونَ؟» قَالُوا كَذَا وَكَذَا فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «بِيعُوا كَيْفَ شِئْتُمْ وَلَا تَخْلِطُوا مَيِّتَةً بِمَذْبُوحَةٍ عَلَى النَّاسِ أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ احْفَظُوا لَا تَحْتَكِرُوا وَلَا تَنَاجَشُوا وَلَا تَلْقُوا السِّلَعَ وَلَا يَبِيعُ حَاضِرٌ لِبَادٍ وَلَا يَبِيعُ الرَّجُلُ عَلَى بَيْعِ أَخِيهِ وَلَا يَخْطُبُ عَلَى خِطْبَةِ أَخِيهِ حَتَّى يَأْذَنَ لَهُ وَلَا تَسْأَلُ الْمَرْأَةُ طَلَاقَ الْأُخْرَى لِتَكْتَفِئَ إِنَاءَهَا وَلْتَنْكِحْ فَإِنَّ رِزْقَهَا عَلَى اللهِ ﷻ»

✧ The Prophet ﷺ went out on the day of Fitr to the prayer ground, with Ubayy b. Ka'b on his right and Umar – or he said Ibn Umar – on his left. When he finished, he passed by the door of Abu Kathir or Abu Kabir, while the butchers were in their courtyard and the people had recently left the pre-Islamic era. He said to them: 'How do you sell?' They said: 'Such and such.' The Messenger of God ﷺ said: 'Sell however you wish, but do not mix dead meat with slaughtered meat before the people. O people, beware: do not hoard, do not bid each other up, do not go out to meet caravans, no urban dweller may sell for a bedouin, no man may sell over the sale of his brother, and no man may propose over the proposal of his brother until he gives permission. A woman should not ask for the divorce of another woman in order to overturn her vessel; let her marry, for her provision is upon God ﷻ.'
