حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ ثنا هَدِيَّةُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْوَهَّابِ الْمَرْوَزِيُّ ثنا النَّضْرُ بْنُ شُمَيْلٍ ثنا الْهِرْمَاسُ بْنُ حَبِيبٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ قَالَ

أَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ بِغَرِيمٍ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «الْزَمْهُ ثُمَّ مَرَّ بِهِ مِنْ آخِرِ النَّهَارِ» فَقَالَ «يَا أَخَا بَنِي الْعَنْبَرِ مَا تُرِيدُ أَنْ تَفْعَلَ بِأَسِيرِكَ؟» وَرَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُصُّ عَلَى النَّاسِ عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ فَنَزَلَ إِلَى جَدِّي فَمَسَحَ وَجْهَهُ وَاخْتَلَعَ عَلَيْهِ حُلَّةً

✧ I brought a debtor to the Prophet ﷺ, and the Prophet ﷺ said: “Stay close to him.” Then he passed by him at the end of the day and said: “O brother of the Banū al-ʿAnbar, what do you intend to do with your captive?” The Messenger of God ﷺ was narrating to the people on the pulpit, and he descended to my grandfather, wiped his face, and bestowed upon him a fine garment.
