حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ النَّضْرِ الْعَسْكَرِيُّ؛ ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ آدَمَ الْمِصِّيصِيُّ؛ ثَنَا الْمُحَارِبِيُّ؛ عَنِ الْأَحْوَصِ بْنِ حَكِيمٍ؛ عَنْ حَبِيبِ بْنِ صُهَيْبٍ عَنْ مَكْحُولٍ عَنْ أَبِي ثَعْلَبَةَ

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ «يَطْلُعُ اللهُ عَلَى عِبَادِهِ لَيْلَةَ النِّصْفِ مِنْ شَعْبَانَ فَيَغْفِرُ لِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَيُمْهِلُ الْكَافِرِينَ وَيَدَعُ أَهْلَ الْحِقْدِ بِحِقْدِهِمْ حَتَّى يَدْعُوهُ۔»

that the Prophet ﷺ said, “Allah ˹audits˺ his servants during the night of the middle of ˹month of ˺ Shaʿbān then forgives the Believers and ˹purposefully˺ overlooks the disbelievers and leaves the people of hate in their hatefulness until they let go of it."
