حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ التَّمَّارُ ثنا أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ الطَّيَالِسِيُّ ثنا عِكْرِمَةُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ حَدَّثَنِي الْهِرْمَاسُ بْنُ زِيَادٍ قَالَ

رَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ وَأَنَا رَدِيفُ أَبِي وَهُوَ عَلَى نَاقَتِهِ الْعَضْبَاءِ يَوْمَ الْأَضْحَى وَالنَّاسُ حَوْلَهُ فَقُلْتُ لِأَبِي مَا يَقُولُ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ يَقُولُ «ارْمُوا الْجِمَارَ بِمِثْلِ حَصَى الْخَذْفِ»

✧ I saw the Prophet ﷺ while I was riding behind my father, and he was on his she-camel al-Adba' on the Day of Sacrifice, with the people around him. I said to my father: What is the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying? He said: He is saying: "Throw the pebbles like the small stones used for throwing."
