حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَانُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ الْكُوفِيُّ ثنا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ ثنا عَبْدُ السَّلَامِ بْنُ حَرْبٍ عَنْ أَبِي رَجَاءٍ عَنْ أَبِي جُحَيْفَةَ قَالَ

تَجَشَّأْتُ عِنْدَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَ «مَا أَكَلْتَ يَا أَبَا جُحَيْفَةَ؟» فَقُلْتُ خُبْزًا وَلَحْمًا فَقَالَ «إِنَّ أَطْوَلَ النَّاسِ جُوعًا يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ أَكْثَرُهُمْ شِبَعًا فِي الدُّنْيَا»

Translation

Chain of narrators
  1. ʿAbdān b. Aḥmad

✧ I belched in the presence of the Prophet ﷺ, and he said, "What did you eat, O Abu Juhaifa?" I said, "Bread and meat." He said, "The people who will hunger longest on the Day of Resurrection are those who were most satiated in this world."
