✧ I saw Bilal come out at midday with a short spear and plant it in the ground. Then he stood to give the call to prayer, placed his fingers in his ears, and turned his head this way and that, right and left, until he finished his adhan. Then he entered upon the Messenger of God ﷺ and brought out a small amount of water. Some took it and some were sprinkled with it. Then the Messenger of God ﷺ came out wearing a red cloak, and it is as if I can still see the whiteness of his shins beneath it. He prayed toward the spear while women on camel litters passed in front of him. The wording is that of the hadith of Abu Bilal.
