✧ I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying to Hudhayfah b. al-Yaman and Mu'adh b. Jabal while they were consulting him about where to settle. He gestured toward Sham. Then they asked him again, and he gestured toward Sham. Then they asked him again, and he gestured toward Sham. He said: "You must go to Sham, for it is the choicest of Allah's lands, inhabited by His chosen ones from among His creation. Whoever refuses, let him join his Yemen and drink from its waterholes, for Allah has guaranteed me Sham and its people."
