حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ سَالِمٍ الرَّازِيُّ ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عِمْرَانَ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ ثنا أَبُو دَاوُدَ ثَنا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ أَبِي الْفَيْضِ قَالَ خَطَبَنَا مَسْلَمَةُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ فَقَالَ

لَا تَصُومُوا فِي السَّفَرِ رَمَضَانَ فَمَنْ صَامَ فَلْيَقْضِهِ قَالَ أَبُو الْفَيْضِ فَلَقِيتُ أَبَا قِرْصَافَةَ وَاثِلَةَ بْنَ الْأَسْقَعِ فَسَأَلْتُهُ فَقَالَ لَوْ صُمْتَ ثُمَّ صُمْتَ ثُمَّ صُمْتَ مَا قَضَيْتَهُ

✧ “Do not fast during travel in Ramadan; whoever fasts must make it up.” Abu al-Fayḍ said: I met Abu Qirṣāfa Wāthila b. al-Asqaʿ and asked him, and he said: “If you fasted and fasted and fasted, you would not make it up.”
