حَدَّثَنَا الْمِقْدَامُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ ثنا أَسَدُ بْنُ مُوسَى ح وَحَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ثنا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ الْمِنْهَالِ قَالَا ثنا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ كُلَيْبٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ وَائِلٍ الْحَضْرَمِيِّ قَالَ

قُلْتُ «لَأَنْظُرَنَّ إِلَى صَلَاةِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ كَيْفَ يُصَلِّي فَقَامَ فَاسْتَقْبَلَ الْقِبْلَةَ فَكَبَّرَ وَرَفَعَ يَدَيْهِ حَتَّى حَاذَى بِهِمَا أُذُنَيْهِ ثُمَّ قَبَضَ بِالْيُمْنَى عَلَى الْيُسْرَى ثُمَّ رَكَعَ فَرَفَعَ يَدَيْهِ فَحَاذَى بِهِمَا أُذُنَيْهِ ثُمَّ وَضَعَ كَفَّيْهِ عَلَى رُكْبَتَيْهِ ثُمَّ رَفَعَ رَأْسَهُ وَرَفَعَ يَدَيْهِ فَحَاذَى بِهِمَا أُذُنَيْهِ ثُمَّ سَجَدَ فَوَضَعَ رَأْسَهُ بَيْنَ كَفَّيْهِ ثُمَّ صَلَّى رَكْعَةً أُخْرَى مِثْلَهَا ثُمَّ جَلَسَ فَافْتَرَشَ رِجْلَهُ الْيُسْرَى ثُمَّ دَعَا وَوَضَعَ كَفَّهُ الْيُسْرَى عَلَى رُكْبَتِهِ الْيُسْرَى وَكَفَّهُ الْيُمْنَى عَلَى رُكْبَتِهِ الْيُمْنَى وَدَعَا بِالسَّبَّابَةِ»

✧ I said, 'I will certainly look at the prayer of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, how he prays.' So he stood, faced the qibla, said the takbir, and raised his hands until he brought them level with his ears. Then he grasped his left hand with his right. Then he bowed, raising his hands and bringing them level with his ears, then placed his palms on his knees. Then he raised his head and raised his hands, bringing them level with his ears. Then he prostrated, placing his head between his palms. Then he prayed another rak'a like it. Then he sat, spread his left leg, then supplicated, placing his left palm on his left knee and his right palm on his right knee, and supplicated with his index finger.
